I am completely happy with my purchase of the shelving unit. I read the listing carefully and which is what you need to do.This cube is designed for storing home items, clothes, books, and personal favorite items (which is what it states in the listing, and that is just what it should be used for.It was neatly packed for me. Directions were easy to read and follow. Also came with mounting for the wall. For what I needed I did not have to use the straps. It came with extra parts also easy to take apart to reconfigureDid not take but 1/2 hour to 45 mins. to put together. The most consuming time was taking the parts out of the packages.As far as people saying it is not sturdy that depends on what you have in mind to put on the shelves. What it says about the weight is accurate and the measurements so if you read them then there should be no bad reviews unless it comes defective then just get a return and order another ( Company is good about returns since I had to do that)..THINGS HAPPENWe moved to a smaller home that lacks cupboard space. I initially was looking for milk crate storage to place/ stack inside a narrow closet in my kitchen which previously was used as a coat closet. I assembled this shelving unit 4 tall by 2 wide. It's amazing how much I was able to store inside this unit. Very pleased with my purchase. It fits together tightly and the included zip ties were the finishing touch to secure.These are super lightweight! We used them for stair-step storage in the playroom and it's perfect! We bought white & it blends into the room without looking out of place. I plan to buy another set to finish the stair-step pattern. Perfectly fits those fabric bins. There were no instructions so it took us a few tries to put them together the right way lolI bought this as an expandable storage system to help wrangle my knitting supplies/yarn stash, and the cubbies did not disappoint. The whole thing is easy to assemble, disassemble, and reconfigure or add do as needed, but is still reasonably sturdy. It is absolutely not suitable for holding anything heavy, but a huge pile of yarn, needles, tools, and pattern books? It's perfect. The whole thing took me maybe a half hour to assemble by myself, and it's quite light and easy to move. The shelves came with optional zip ties to secure the connecting corners, but I found that a few taps with the included hammer made everything fit snugly. The assembly directions are bare-bones and took a minute of trial and error to figure out how to get the connectors on right, so be prepared that they aren't particularly useful. All in all, great buy for the price and purpose.While I wouldn’t recommend this unit for heavy objects, it works great for organizing fabrics in my sewing room.The shelves itself are more of a thin plastic sheet that has been crimped together with a heat stamp around some heavy wire, but it was easy to assemble, and will work great for lighter objects.this thing was such a pain in the butt to put together. took me a little over an hour by myself. falls apart while you’re making it. i zip tied it together as i went so it would stop exploding everywhere. i finally got it done and it’s serving it’s purpose.Exactly what I needed and as pictured! Purchased for my laundry room. Wouldn’t use if it’s a ton of heavy objects you need stored. However it does hold my detergent, bleach, and cleaning supplies!While it would not be useful to stash heavy items it is pretty sturdy and works well for me. Read the directions and pay attention to the placement of the little "joiner" pieces and you'll have no problem putting it together!
