Like I said, easy to install the replacement, but if your no longer functioning one is 20+ years old and virtually welded in place, like mine was, it will be hell to remove. Mine eventually yielded after hours of messing around, and the tub faucet -- with a new cartridge as well -- now works perfectly.Thankfully, I didn't have to rent the very expensive special tool set designed to remove stuck balancing spools.
