I thought they would be narrow like enough for just a perfume bottle but it’s way too wide and it’s cheaply painted. They’re unfortunately going back :(Perfect for my bathroom where I don’t have a lot of storage. Easy to install, took my five mins. Took longer to gather the tools I needed.Easier to install with keyhole hooks and a screwdriver. I’m hesitant to put 18 lbs on them but sturdy enough for light objects!These shelves just happen to be exactly what I needed. I use it as a shelf to hold my drinks and remote controls next to my easy chair. Having the little rim on the outside is perfect because it keeps you from knocking things off. The only reason I gave it a four is because it may not prove to be as valuable to others. It just happened to fit my specific needs.LOOKS REALLY NICEThese were on sale and I liked the lip design, but other reviews of the hanging system and wood quality were so bad, I knew I’d have to use a different method of mounting. (See photo)I can’t stress too much the need for using 4 or 5 inch brackets to mount these instead of trying to hang them on the screws that are included. This is not hardwood or even pine. It feels like balsa or bass wood. I believe that, with the added brackets, it will be strong enough for my kitchen canisters, but time will tell.If you decided to use brackets, be gentle installing screws into the shelves. The wood is so soft, you can easily end up boring a hole with the screw that’s too large if you tighten the screw too much. If that happens, slap a little glue into the hole, and you should be fine.Had these in my bathroom and today my cute little ceramic items crashed and broke into my tub. These shelves are made of a type of balsa wood that is not very strong AT ALL. I do not recommend these unless you put no more than 5 lb. Of items and then I would be wary. It’s too bad because they look cute.These are beautiful however be mindful these are not solid wood and cannot get wet, they are for very light items not for anything too heavy. Overall these are great for the priceI absolutely love the look of these shelve!! The style and stain is beautiful However sadly it ends there. The wood split when I put the screws into the back anchors. And they are not solid wood and particle board is heavier than them. I do not know the wood type or else I would put it here so others can get an idea of the quality.. Because of this, the back will break off the shelf if you attempt to put too much weight on them. I was able to anchor to a stud and am still having difficulties with finding décor that is light enough to put on them. I will still emphasize how pretty they look and for the $25 they are a good option for now. Just don't expect to put anything of weigh onto them.Bought these to display my teas in the kitchen. They were a bit finicky to attach to the screws in the wall and the first time I put one of them up it fell off just when my arm bumped into it, and the shelf has a few dents in it now. The trick is to only screw in halfway so that the shelf has something to hang on to. Even then it still feels like it'll fall off if I'd accidentally bump it again. I wouldn't put anything heavy on them just to be safe. I wish I had bought better quality shelves but these will do for now.The shelves feels and look cheap, but I kinda knew that when I paid the low price.However, the holes were not at the spot on each side and also not the same size. Which made it impossible to install.Anchors were so cheap I couldn’t even put it in the wall without it breaking.Paint was missing on both shelves + had a few dents.Don’t buy this. Spend a few bucks more.Shelves look like something I made in grade 9 shop class. Wood is split a bit and it has viable nail holes on the front making it very unappealing. Paint job is just a quick coat as well very sloppy. Decided to keep them and just give them a paint job myself instead of the hassle of paying shipping to return them.
